Réaltóga Preschool and Afterschool was opened in September 2013 to provide quality childcare and education for children in the community. It is committed to supporting and celebrating the individual needs of each child in a safe, caring, developmentally appropriate environment where an atmosphere of warmth and consistency is encouraged so children can express themselves freely, be enthusiastic about learning and develop confidence in their abilities and their potential.

Pre-School

Réaltóga provides a first-class pre-school educational programme which is guided by Aistear, the Early Childhood Curriculum Framework, the principles of Siolta the National Quality Quality Framework or Early Childhood Education and the Preschool Regulations, 2006. The Preschool is open for 37 weeks and has the same school calendar as Star of the Sea B.N.S. It operates 5 days a week, from the hours of 8:45 a.m. until 11.45 a.m.

After School

Réaltóga after-school is available to boys from Star of the Sea school. A homework club operates from 1.20pm to 2.20pm for the junior and senior infant children. Afterschool care is available from 1.20pm and 2.20pm until 6.00pm daily.
