Preschool Sessional Service.
- For children who are eligible to participate in the ECCE Scheme
- Children from the ages of 2 years 6 months maybe accepted if places are available
- Available only on a five day week basis
- Opening Hours have changed due to COVID-19
- Preschool Pod 1 : 9.15am – 12.15pm
- Preschool Pod 2: 9.00am – 12.00pm
- Children bring their own lunch
- Children need to be toilet trained
- Réaltóga is open during term time only, Please see calendar for specific dates

- We have 16 places available
- Hours available 11.45am – 1.15pm
- Free play time provided
- Healthy snack provided
Admissions Policy
Places are offered to children on a first booked first served basis in each category outlined above.
Bookings can be taken in the January of the year before your child is eligible for a place e.g. for example if your child is due to start in September 2022 we can accept booking forms from January 2021.
Ratios for Preschool children
1 adult to 10/11 children in sessional service
1 adult to 8 children from 12:15pm to 1:15pm during the preschool optional hours service
Key worker system
Réaltóga preschool operates a key worker system i.e. each child is allotted a specific member of staff who has special responsibility for consulting with the child’s parent/guardian on their child’s early learning and development. Keyworkers will have the responsibility for recording the development of their key children.
Children do not necessarily stay with their key worker all day and will be encouraged to develop relationships with other staff responsible for their group and other staff, students and volunteers attending Réaltóga.
